About the Author

Russ Firlik is a retired educator who has had several peer reviewed articles published in professional journals. He earned his doctorate in 1974. He has held teaching and administrative positions in England, Spain, Germany and the U.S.A. He currently divides his time between his home in South Florida, foreign travel destinations, and visiting his three children and three grandchildren in Connecticut, California, and Maine. He also writes travel articles for intravelmag.com.
